You could search your local library for information about groups.

You could search online to find out about groups near you.

You could look in the local paper for information.

There are large groups you could join.

For example if you are interested in rights then you could join self advocacy groups like People First who have groups all around the world.

You could join a group on the internet. These are sometimes called 'forums' and they are a good way of contacting people from all over the country or world.
