5. Get started

The law has changed. This means you are now required to make reasonable adjustments to meet the needs of people with disabilities and that includes people with learning disabilities.

This is good news! People have been excluded for years and now they must be included.

We know that it can be scary to bring about change but help is at hand. It can be a real inspiration to work with people with learning disabilities and vice versa.

You can make this a worthwhile adventure that will engage and involve you.

Don't be afraid to make mistakes — ask for help.

Remember, things do not have to be perfect.

Make some small changes to the way you do things and then make a long term plan.
