This guide sets out the key information you need to make communicating with people with a learning disability easier.

There is not simply one way to communicate with all people with a learning disability, or anyone else, for that matter. People have a range of different needs when it comes to communication. They may have additional disabilities that will affect this process, such as impaired vision, hearing or speech.

This 5 Point Guide is intended to give you an overview of the main ways you can communicate with people with a learning disability, including involving people more and making the information you publish more accessible. Each section provides you with information, ideas and examples you can use to make democracy more accessible.
